Justin Rose went low for the second straight day, taking the lead at the European Tour's UBS Hong Kong Open with a second-round 66.
But Rose, who sits at 9 under heading into the weekend, is trailed closely by Lucas Bjerregaard (8 under), Wei-chih Lu and the jet-lagged Ian Poulter (both at 7 under).
Starting at the 11th hole, Rose made five birdies before making his first bogey of the week at his 35th hole, the par-4 ninth at Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling.
Rose, the seventh-ranked player in the Official World Golf Ranking, is well aware of Poulter at 7 under as the European Ryder Cup hero battles to get back inside the top 50 in the world.
