ATLANTA – For Rory McIlroy, 2015 had a little bit of everything.
He won twice on the PGA Tour, the WGC-Match Play and Wells Fargo Championship, was sidelined for much of the summer with an ankle injury and failed to add to his major collection.
“Interesting. Disappointing,” McIlroy said when asked to assess his season. “It hasn’t been the season that I would have hoped for.”
McIlroy also said 2015, which is far from over for the Northern Irishman with the European Tour’s Race to Dubai still looming, as a “learning curve.
