AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Rory McIlroy pauses when asked the question. Then he takes the political stance and comfortably rides the fence.
"I really don't know what a bigger achievement is for me," he maintained. "To win the Masters or to win the career Grand Slam."
His democracy is understandable, yet clearly flawed. Forty-nine different men have won the Masters. Only five have won the career Grand Slam.
And then there's this crucial bit of information: You can't win the career Grand Slam without also winning the Masters anyway.
Then again, if you're McIlroy, you can't win the Masters this week without also winning the career grand slam.
