Rory McIlroy captured his first win of the year at the Irish Open this past weekend, but his play on the course wasn't the only thing that had fans applauding.
In fact, the win wasn't on his mind during his post-tournament interview. All he could think about was his foundation.
The Rory McIlroy Foundation hosted the tournament, with the proceeds from the tickets going to the charity. While raising that money alone would have been great for the cause, the 27-year-old went a step further and donated his winnings from the tournament.
All 666,000 euros (which is nearly $750,000).
