EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France – Alison Lee, the only rookie on either team for the 2015 Solheim Cup, doesn’t know what to think. The Team USA bus heads out of Evian at 5 p.m. local time, taking Lee to Germany for the biggest event of her life.
“To be honest, it still hasn’t hit me,” she said. “This can’t be real life.”
Lee, 20, closed with a 5-under 66 at Evian to finish T-6, her third consecutive top 10. She’ll experience her first Solheim Cup on her own as neither friends nor family could make the trip. Typically though, players get little time to see their inner circle at these packed events, where it’s all about team.
