ORLANDO, Fla. – When Rob Oppenheim nearly holed out on the 18th green with a 60-degree wedge from 85 yards out during the third round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Saturday, it seemed the gallery cheered louder for him than it had the entire tournament.
And that was certainly saying something, considering the Orlando resident had about 20 friends and family walking the course alongside him at Bay Hill Club & Lodge. He even had six friends charter a jet from Palm Beach, Fla., to Orlando International Airport just to see him play his 10th PGA Tour event.
