The second major championship of the year in women’s golf will be about more than birdies and bogeys at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in Seattle next week.
Former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice and LPGA Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam will be featured speakers when the 2016 KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit is staged Wednesday at Sahalee Country Club.
Rice will give the opening keynote address and Sorenstam will be featured in the event’s closing fireside chat. LPGA 11-time winner Stacy Lewis is among the featured athletes speaking.
“The Women's Leadership Summit is all about inspiring the next generation of women,” Sorenstam said Friday in a Golf Channel media conference call advancing the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
