After a sophomore campaign that included two runner-ups and four top-10s, Eric Ricard finally has his first college win.
With a 65-68 finish over the final 36 holes at the David Toms Intercollegiate, the junior finished at 10-under 206 and pasted the 75-player field at the University Club - David Toms course by seven shots. His LSU Tigers followed suit with an Even-Par 864 that earned the hosts a 16-shot victory. Kansas State placed runner-up at 16-over 880.
“It is incredible,” Ricard said. “I didn’t see this coming. In the past two tournaments I struggled … I was able to get it all figured out after working with coach (LSU Coach Chuck Winstead).
