Report: Woods to design course outside Nashville

Tiger Woods will design a new golf course in Tennessee, according to a report from the Nashville Business Journal.

A 1,200-acre project is in the works in Thompson's Station, Tenn., about 30 miles south of Nashville. About 850 of those acres have reportedly been allotted as "open space" that will include a Tiger Woods Design course.

The project is being overseen by Beacon Land Development, a Dallas-based company that is also in charge of Bluejack National outside Houston, site of Woods' first U.S. design. Woods was scheduled to make his final site visit to Bluejack next week, but had to cancel it because of a recent follow-up procedure on his back.
