Report: Women's PGA heading to Sahalee in 2016

HARRISON, N.Y. – A Seattle television station’s web site is reporting that the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship will be played at Sahalee Country Club in suburban Seattle next year.

KomoNews.com, the web site for KOMO TV, an ABC News affiliate, reports that Sahalee Country Club members voted “overwhelmingly” to approve hosting next year’s event with Sahalee club president Steve Oaks informing PGA of America officials on Friday. The web site also reported an official announcement was expected this weekend. The event would be played June 9-12.

Vijay Singh won the first of his three major titles at the 1998 PGA Championship at Sahalee.
