Diana M. Murphy, the USGA's vice president, will move up a rung and become the second-ever president of the USGA, according to a GolfDigest.com report.
While the USGA has normally had the Nomination Committee bring about its slate of officers – most notably a president – and Executive Committee candidates in early fall, the 2015 process has proved different. No such nominations have been announced as of yet, but unnamed sources told Golf Digest that these will be put forth on Monday.
According to the report, the big news will be Murphy's nomination as president, as she'll join Judy Bell (1996-97) as the only women to ever hold this role in the organization's 121-year history.
