Once Bradley Reeves made the turn at Haggin Oaks Golf Club in Sacramento, Calif., he really lit up. Reeves, from Woodbridge, Calif., recovered from the two bogeys he made on the front nine and made three birdies to finish with 1-under 71. Combine that with his first-round 69, and it was enough to give Reeves a one-shot edge on his chasers.
Reeves, ranked No. 267 by Golfweek, finished the inaugural Golfweek Northern California Junior Invitational with a 4-under 140 total. The tournament wasn’t about ballstriking, but putting.
“I struggled on the front nine but the back nine, made a couple more putts,” said the junior in high school.
