Rory McIlroy first played at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina, in 2009 as a 20-year-old in his first season on the PGA Tour. But that was also the last time he played in the RBC Heritage.
However, the Northern Irishman will return to the tournament this weekend for further competitive action following the sport's three-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The tour swung back into action with the Charles Schwab Challenge last weekend, but McIlroy fell off near the end of the tournament. Entering the final round at 10 under par, including a 63 in his second round, he shot a 74 on Sunday and finished tied for 32nd place.
