Rain wins out at PGA; Round 3 to resume Sunday

SPRINGFIELD, N.J. -- Third-round play at the PGA Championship on Saturday has been called for the day due to heavy rain, raising the possibility of a second straight Monday finish in a major championship at Baltusrol.

Jimmy Walker and Robert Streb, tied for the lead at 9-under par, were 40 minutes from teeing off in the third round when clouds gathered, the sky rumbled and the horn sounded to suspend play. The course was pounded with rain.

Play was called shortly before 6 p.m. ET. It is scheduled to resume Sunday at 7 a.
