Rahm, Hossler among Hogan Award semifinalists

The semifinalists for the Ben Hogan Award were announced Wednesday, with no surprises.

The semifinalists are, in alphabetical order: Charlie Danielson (Illinois), Sam Horsfield (Florida), Beau Hossler (Texas), Michael Johnson (Auburn), Lee McCoy (Georgia), Maverick McNealy (Stanford), Matt NeSmith (South Carolina), Jon Rahm (Arizona State), Robby Shelton (Alabama) and Aaron Wise (Oregon).

The finalists for the award, given annually to the top college and amateur player over a 12-month period, will be announced May 3. The winner will be unveiled at May 23 at Colonial.

Rahm, currently the top-ranked player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, would be the first two-time recipient of the award.
