Jim Furyk's status for next week's Presidents Cup is still uncertain, but U.S. Presidents Cup captain Jay Haas does have a backup plan already in place.
He just wouldn't say who that player was in an interview Thursday with SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio.
"We've made contact and he's got a plane reservation, things like that, clothing is being made for him if that happens," Haas said. "I'd rather not say right now. … We'll cross that bridge when we get to it if he's not playing."
Haas said that he's been in touch with Furyk, who withdrew from the BMW Championship on Sept.
