Presidents Cup format changes include less matches, no extra holes

MOSEL, Wis. – The International team is focused on winning the first Presidents Cup held in South Korea this fall and ending the Americans' run of five straight victories.

Captain Nick Price, seeking to boost his 12-man team’s chances in the Oct. 8-11 matches, has pounded the drum for a format change similar to the Ryder Cup and reduce the number of matches from 34 to 28.

It’s a familiar request, which was made two years ago by Price and even earlier, by International predecessor Greg Norman before, during and after the 2011 matches in Australia.
