Poulter: 'No idea' about travel for WGC, Puerto Rico

ORLANDO, Fla – Ian Poulter has committed to next week’s Puerto Rico Open, but he'll likely have to make his way to Austin, Texas beforehand.

Poulter, No. 67 in the Official World Golf Ranking, is the first alternate for this week’s WGC-Dell Match Play. Thanks to the injured Jim Furyk and sitting Henrik Stenson, No. 65 Patton Kizzire and No. 66 Thorbjorn Olesen are in the 64-man field.

Poulter is the odd man out and would be the next man up. The five-day Match Play starts Wednesday, which would give Poulter a small window to get to Puerto Rico by Thursday should no one withdraw in Austin.
