Don Padgett II, retired president and chief operating officer of Pinehurst (N.C.) Resort, has been named Golfweek’s Father of the Year for 2015.

Padgett will be honored June 20 at the Golfweek Father & Son Open at PGA National Resort & Spa in
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Padgett was named president
at Pinehurst in 2004 after serving as director of golf and general manager at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.
Golfweek has presented the award since 1983.
