The USGA announced Tuesday that the U.S. Amateur will be held at Pinehurst No. 2 in 2019, followed by at trip to Bandon Dunes in Oregon in 2020.
Pinehurst hosted both the U.S. Open and the U.S. Women's Open last summer and has been the site of the U.S. Amateur twice before, most recently in 2008 when Danny Lee won the title. Bandon Dunes has never before hosted the event, although the coastal resort is the site this week of the inaugural U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball. The U.S. Amateur has not been contested in Oregon since 1996, when Tiger Woods won the Havemeyer Trophy for the third straight year at Pumpkin Ridge.
