Thomas Pieters’ win in the D+D Real Czech Masters comes as no surprise. Maybe the biggest shock is that it took him this long to earn his maiden European Tour win, despite the victory coming in his 48th European Tour start.
Pieters looks like he could win a lot of European Tour events before his career is finished, not to mention some PGA Tour events and, dare I say it, a major championship, too.
The powerful 23-year-old won the Czech Masters by three shots over Sweden’s Pelle Edberg with a 20-under 268 total. England’s Matthew Fitzpatrick finished third, four shots behind Pieters.
