With just over a year left until golf makes its return to the Olympic Games, photos have surfaced of the course on which players will win the first Olympic medals in the sport since 1904.
NBCSports.com has a full gallery of photos from the course in Rio de Janeiro, where architect Gil Hanse said construction finished in January. The photos show the clubhouse in the early stages of construction, with a completion date reportedly set for November.
Course construction has been subjected to various bureaucratic and municipal delays, but the 18-hole layout appears fully-grassed with views of the mountains in the distance.
