The Ryder Cup officially starts next Friday, but some big time celebrities are kicking things off a few days earlier.
Athletes and entertainers from the U.S. and Europe are set to square off in a 9-hole scramble on Tuesday at Hazletine National Golf Club to get the Ryder Cup festivities underway.
The American squad boasts several names that frequently pop up at celebrity pro-am events, including themost decorated Olympian of all time Michael Phelps, iconic funnyman Bill Murray, actors Kurt Russell and Rob Riggle, recording artist Huey Lewis, former hockey great and current NBC analyst Jeremy Roenick, surfing legend Kelly Slater and celebrity chef Todd English.
