Donald Trump's latest controversial comments may be starting to affect his golf interests.
The PGA Tour said on Friday that it will consider other sites for the WGC-Cadillac Championship after the 2016 event finishes up at Trump National Doral.
In a statement issued to Golf.com, the Tour offered its reasoning for the potential change in venue starting in 2017. The Tour did not explicitly state that Trump's public statement about stopping all Muslim immigrants from entering the United States was the reason for the future potential move. Still, the timing of that statement is just days after it was uttered with a resulting backlash, and the Tour did address its great displeasure at Trump's comments.
