The PGA Tour is set to enhance its PED testing next season by adding blood testing to the anti-doping procedure.
According to the Associated Press (h/t USA Today), the change will be implemented in October to coincide with the start of a new campaign.
The PGA Tour previously only used urine testing, which left it unable to detect the use of human growth hormone.
Along with blood testing, the PGA Tour will revise its list of banned substances to that of the World Anti-Doping Agency, per the AP (h/t USA Today).
