PGA Tour, Sanderson Farms agree to 10-year extension

JACKSON, Miss. – There has been a PGA Tour event played in Mississippi since 1968, and now there will be PGA Tour golf played in Mississippi through at least 2026. That was cemented early Wednesday when Sanderson Farms announced that it has agreed to a 10-year extension with the PGA Tour to continue its event in Jackson.

Sanderson Farms is in its third year as sponsor of the tournament, which is being played for the second year at the Country Club of Jackson. Sanderson Farms agreed to a one-year deal initially in 2013 to serve as title sponsor, then a three-year deal (this week marks Year 2 of that), and on Wednesday, Joe Sanderson Jr.
