NASSAU, Bahamas — Injuries aside, what is going on these days with the PGA Tour landscape is a natural progression. Time marches on.
So as Tiger Woods edges closer to his 40th birthday and Phil Mickelson prepares for a season in which he’ll turn 46, what has opened “is a window to create new stars,” said PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem.
But Finchem this week confirmed that what will greet them is a new policy intended to make them mix up their schedules to add tournaments they haven’t played before.
“We think it changes the culture a little bit,” Finchem said.
