The PGA Tour is not concerned with the 30-percent reduction in budget announced recently by the Rio Olympic organizers, according to the Tour's commissioner, Tim Finchem.
With the Rio Olympics less than a year away, multiple news reports have organizers cutting back on volunteers, reducing staffing at dozens of test events and trimming costs for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics and Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.
With golf entering the Olympics for the first time since 1904, Finchem is still positive that it will be a good experience for all.
“It's been a struggle since Day 1,” Finchem said of bringing golf to Rio.
