The latest chapter in the legal back-and-forth between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf began Thursday.
According to ESPN's Mark Schlabach, the PGA Tour filed a federal lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in Manhattan. The lawsuit was filed against Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and Yasir Othman Al-Rumayyan, who is the governor of that fund that financially backs LIV Golf.
The PGA Tour's goal in the latest filing is to obtain a motion to compel from a federal judge. If that happened, Al-Rumayyan would be deposed as part of another federal lawsuit involving the two golf leagues.
