The PGA Tour announced Wednesday that the WGC-Mexico Championship will be held next year at Club de Golf Chapultepec outside Mexico City.
The Tour made the decision in June to move the WGC-Cadillac Championship, which had been held at Trump National Doral since 2007, to an undetermined course in Mexico. Next year's tournament, the first in a new seven-year agreement with Grupo Salinas, will be the first WGC event held in Mexico. The Tour's other Mexico-based event, the OHL Classic at Mayakoba, is annually part of the fall schedule.
The venue shift means that two of the four WGC events will be held abroad next season.
