WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. – In the middle of a disappointing season, Scott Langley decided it was time he took a look in the mirror. He didn’t like what he saw. But if he looks now, he’ll see a smile plastered on his face after carding a bogey-free 8-under 62 in the first round of the Greenbrier Classic.
“I don’t know my stats, but I felt like I hit a lot of greens and put a lot of pressure on the golf course today,” he said.
Indeed, he did. Langley hit 17 of 18 greens and poured in four birdies on each side to claim an early lead that held all day.
