HARRISON, N.Y. – Suzann Pettersen is in position this weekend to make a run at back-to-back LPGA titles.
Pettersen’s 7-under-par 66 Friday at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship matched the low score of the tournament but was the most impressive round of the week as it was played on a tougher setup than Thursday’s opening round.
One player after another left the course Friday saying Westchester Country Club was playing firmer, faster and more difficult with nastier pin positions than they saw in the first round.
Pettersen wasn’t just bogey free, she hit all 18 greens in regulation.
