Woods gained momentum early with a couple of long-range birdie makes to start his round, then hung on to make the cut with a 2-under 70. Woods totaled 24 putts in Round 2.
At 1 under, Woods is 11 shots back of leader David Lingmerth, who shot 65 Friday.
