REUNION, Fla. — Muni He didn’t show too much emotion after chipping in for birdie on the par-4 18th to finish her second round of the ANNIKA Invitational at Reunion Resort's Watson Course on Sunday.
Although He is in a three-way tie for second at even par, three behind leader Youngin Chun (68-73), she wasn’t happy with her day-two marks on the scorecard, especially going bogey-double-double on Nos. 5-7.
“It wasn’t a very smooth start today,” said He, who is No. 17 in Golfweek's junior rankings. “The last chip-in was definitely a bonus.”
But the renewed take on her game and blemish-free, back-nine scoring, which included three birdies, helped her realize this is just another tournament – even though she is competing against some of the top junior golfers in the world.
