Pak (illness) withdraws after 84 at Women's PGA

HARRISON, N.Y. – Hall of Famer Se Ri Pak withdrew Friday morning from the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship citing illness.

Pak posted an 11-over-par 84 in the first round.

Pak, 37, is a three-time champion of this event, having won the LPGA Championship in 1998, 2002 and 2006. Annika Sorenstam (four times) is the only player who has won this event more.

Though this championship has been rebranded with the PGA of America partnering with the LPGA and KPMG coming aboard as title sponsor, the event has retained its LPGA Championship history, records and trophy.
