BLUFFTON, S.C. –– Andrew Orischak is one match victory away from the best prom of his life.
Earlier Friday, Fox Sports reporter Holly Sonders promised the 16-year-old that if he won the U.S. Junior Amateur she would be his date for next year’s Hilton Head Island High School prom.
With the little extra motivation, the local favorite defeated Ryan Grider, 3 and 2, in the quarterfinals before eliminating Eugene Hong by the same margin to advance to Saturday’s championship match at Colleton River Plantation Club.
