Olympic officials announced on Wednesday that the Gil Hanse-designed golf course that will be used for next year’s Games is “100 percent complete.”
According to the monthly Rio 2016 progress report, the Olympic Golf Course, Future Arena and canoe slalom course are completed.
Officials originally planned to hold a test event on the Olympic course this month, but announced in July at the Open Championship that tournament would be delayed until the first quarter 2016 and would be a one-day event.
