Ollie Schniederjans looking for solid showing at Honda Classic

Ollie Schniederjans made an appearance on last year’s Florida Swing, taking a break from Georgia Tech’s spring season to play the Valspar Championship outside Tampa on a sponsor exemption. Having turned pro last summer, he is in this week’s field at Honda on a sponsor exemption, and he could use a good finish.

This will mark his sixth PGA Tour start of 2015-16, and though he’s made four of five cuts, he has yet to land a big payday, earning $68,586. He sees what the other players he grew up competing against have done – Jordan Spieth has become a two-time major winner and superstar, Justin Thomas and Emiliano Grillo have won, Berger was Rookie of the Year – but knows it’s important that he stays patient as he tries to establish himself as a young pro.
