ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Even with Monday’s finish at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba there were a surprising number of players and caddies back at work to start the week at Sea Island Resort.
For this year’s event, officials at the RSM Classic added a second course to the rotation, the adjacent Plantation Course, which explained the increased practice as players prepared to play the new layout.
Although the Plantation Course is slightly longer (7,058 yards) than Seaside (7,005 yards), which is the host course and will be used exclusively for the final two rounds, most players agree the new addition will be easier.
