UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – Bad news for everyone on the PGA Tour not named Jordan Spieth. The newly-minted two-time major champion will head to the Open Championship next month at St. Andrews licking his chops to continue his run at a Grand Slam.
Although Spieth has only played the Old Course once – while visiting Scotland four years ago with the U.S. Walker Cup team – he loves the place and relishes the opportunity to make history at the Home of Golf.
“I remember walking around the clubhouse,” Spieth said. “It’s one of my favorite places in the world.
