PERTH, Australia (AP) -- The PGA Tour of Australasia and European Tour will co-sanction a new tournament in Western Australia in February that will combine stroke play for three rounds and a 24-man match-play component over six holes on the final day.
The Australasian Tour said Wednesday the World Super 6 Perth tournament, to be played at Perth's Lake Karrinyup Country Club from Feb. 16-19, will have a 36-hole cut as in regular tournaments. The leading 24 players after the third round will then advance to match play on Sunday, with a playoff to determine who moves on in case of ties.
