ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Lucas Glover advanced to last season's FedEx Cup playoffs despite a streaky putter that ranked 132nd on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: putting.
Glover decided it was time for a change and experimented with a claw grip between The Barclays, his last start of the 2016 season, and the Safeway Open, but he didn’t finally settle on the new grip until Monday in Napa, Calif.
“I was just trying to get something that was way different," Glover said. "Played a couple times with it and a couple times without it, went back and forth.
