AUSTIN, Texas — You wouldn’t think there’d be much in common with famed golf instructor Harvey Penick and rock ’n roller Robert Plant, but there is — if you consider their ties to this city.
The late Penick, of course, spent most of his brilliant life here, unlocking the secrets of an effective golf swing to an array of golfers, some of them Hall of Famers. And Plant, the iconic voice behind Led Zeppelin who has called Austin home, was in town Sunday night with his Sensational Space Shifters, still filling music halls.
(Remember, Austin may be called the capital of Texas, but its official motto is “The Live Music Capital of the World.
