Nelly Korda topped a field of 195 players in the second stage of LPGA Q-School. The 17-year-old doesn’t take anything home for her efforts, given that there’s no purse in Stage II and she competed as an amateur. In fact, she won’t even continue on to the third and final stage of Q-School because of LPGA age restrictions.
But, Korda got what she came for – full status on the Symetra Tour for 2016. Earlier in the year Korda petitioned to compete in the first two stages only, conceding that she’d have to wait until 2017 to join big sister Jessica on the LPGA.
