CLIFTON, N.J. -- History could be beckoning later this weekend for Nelly Korda, but the world's current No.1 women's golfer said Wednesday that her recently busy off-course life has kept those thoughts from entering her mind.
"If I'm being honest," Korda said, "I have not thought about it at all."
With a win at the Cognizant Founders Cup, Korda will have claimed her sixth straight tournament victory, setting a new LPGA benchmark for consecutive wins in the process.
Her win two weeks ago at the Chevron Championship -- a major -- was her fifth straight, tying the record shared by World Golf Hall of Famers Nancy Lopez, who did it in 1978, and Annika Sorenstam, who did it across the 2004 and 2005 seasons.
