Some good news out of the golf broadcasting circles: Mark Rolfing's battle with cancer has, for now, reached a successful conclusion.
The longtime NBC Sports and Golf Channel analyst told the Associated Press that tests show his cancer to now be "100 percent gone."
Rolfing returned to the broadcast team in January at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, and worked three events in Hawaii all together (between the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions) in January. He had previously been diagnosed over the summer with Stage 4 salivary gland cancer and underwent surgery on Aug. 13 to remove a malignant growth from his left cheek.
