BLOOMFIELD, Conn. -- Tyler Nagano entered the 2015 Golfweek New England Junior Invitational with a worrisome driver, but he leaves with some confidence and a championship trophy to boot.
Battling nerves through the whole final round, Nagano rode a steady driver and hot putter to a 1-shot victory over a trio of players Wednesday at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course. He fired rounds of 73-69—142 in capturing his first victory of the year.
“My driver has been kind of troubling me the last several months, but for this week it has been really good,” said Nagano, a resident of Toronto, Ontario.
