Azahara Munoz still feels pain in her surgically repaired left hand, but she found some good medicine Friday at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.
Munoz felt good seeing so many of her shots homing in on flagsticks again.
With a 6-under-par 65, Munoz moved into a three-way tie for the lead at the weather-delayed LPGA event at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Ark. She’s tied with Brittany Lincicome and Anna Nordqvist and one shot ahead of Ryann O’Toole. A lot of the game’s big names got off to promising starts.
Paula Creamer and Morgan Pressel opened with 67s.
