Francesco Molinari shot a second-round 69 to remain in front at the BMW PGA Championship as the Italian hopes to net spots in a pair of majors with a big week at Wentworth.
Molinari led by two shots after the first round, and following a slow start he closed with three birdies across his final five holes. At 10 under, he leads by two shots over Argentina's Emiliano Grillo.
Molinari was a runner-up last week at the Open de Espana and clearly feels comfortable at Wentworth. He has cracked the top 10 each of the last three years at this event, including a T-7 finish last year, and he has reached 31 of 36 greens in regulation through the first two rounds.
