Mo Martin begins title defense at Ricoh Women's British Open

TURNBERRY, Scotland – The story goes that Donald Trump asked for the size of the biggest Scottish flag in the land, and then made one even bigger. It flies behind the 18th green at Trump Turnberry, and even the locals find the enormity of it rather something.

Mo Martin stood on the 18th green on Tuesday and pointed skyward. Never has the Scottish flag looked more imposing than over “Mighty Mo,” the tiny player who won this championship one year ago with a shot for the ages.

Martin’s 3-wood on the closing par 5 from 237 yards out chased onto the green, clanked off the flagstick and settled 7 feet from the hole.
